Business Management Internship


MBA/MSc (Business Management)

Location: London

IDEAcarbon is looking for three outstanding candidates studying for or having completed an MBA or MSc to join us ASAP for an initial six month period, with the possibility of becoming permanent to support the Directors of IDEAcarbon and the Carbon Rating Agency, to help promote its products, contribute to the development of the strategic relationships and assist in developing intelligence and risk analysis products.


IDEAcarbon is an independent and professional provider of carbon ratings and strategic advice on carbon finance. Our services are designed to provide financial institutions, governments, traders and project developers with unbiased climate intelligence and analytical tools to scale climate finance. Working alongside parent company IDEAglobal Group, it provides impartial and directional outlooks on key assets within the environmental markets and energy commodities spectrum. IDEAglobal has nearly 25 years experience providing information and advice to over 400 financial institutions and government agencies – including Sovereign Wealth Funds, institutional investors, banks and leading corporations. Its products and services are used by risk officers, CIOs, policy makers and traders. Its Advisory Board includes Professor Dr Helmut Schlesinger and Mr Ng Kok Song.


 > Organise and coordinate the day-today-activities of the team and maintain the work in progress(WIP) list i.e. meeting clients, managing accounts, follow ups and presentation.

 > Support CEO and other staff in business meetings with existing and prospective clients.

 > Develop new partnerships relevant for the CRA’s product suite.

 > Communicate and promote The CRA’s products. Help to scale the position of The CRA in the global market.

 > Proactive and adaptive in approach to dealing with obstacles in converting potential business opportunities into concrete contractual deals.

> Exposure to high growth Company working on new and exciting initiatives in carbon markets.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with

 > Good communications skills, both written and spoken in English.

> A degree in business related discipline (preferably an MBA) or equivalent relevant experience.

> Interest in global climate finance, energy and carbon markets desirable.

> Excellent planning and organisation skills.

> Actively seeks to create and/or improve processes using previous experience in a constructive way.

> Patience and perseverance to ensure positive changes are made within the company

> High level of self-motivation, proactive, flexibility and ability to work in a team.

> Flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities.

> Lead on global partnership and expert network development and relations

> Computer skills and ability to work in Excel, Powerpoint and other programmes.
