Market Initiated Ratings

The Market Initiated Rating Initiative (MIRI) aim is to use carbon project ratings as a core tool for providing both project and market insights on the delivery performance risks associated within the different project types. MIRI enables carbon market participants to benefit from the ratings insights gained through CRA’s rigorous ratings process and the output that is being generated.

CRA as part of its MIRI process has carefully selected a representative portfolio of over 100 emission reduction projects from the Kyoto Protocol’s flexible mechanisms and the voluntary carbon market, covering individual projects, PoAs, and bundled projects. The portfolio is continuously updated as the market is entering into new sectors and as such the MIRI user draws on and benefits from the extensive knowledge gained from this rating experience.
