Full Ratings

It is a comprehensive study of all the aspects of the project that affect its credit’s delivery. This includes detailed analysis of the framework risk, project benchmarking and performance estimate and specialist analysis of the technical aspects. There is a mandatory site visit and interactions with the project proponent. The final report is approved by the Rating Committee and mandating entity has the choice to publish the rating or not. The rating is monitored over the life of the project.

The Product Deliverables of Full Ratings Include:

Risk Analysis and Diagnostic

  • Summary of identified risk under five key categories, presenting the essentials of each risk, based in desktop research and any additional information provided by the client;
  • Explanation of the key diagnostic points that will influence the project/portfolio performance;
  • Presentation of conclusions in “Risk at a glance” spider web showing the relative levels of the five key risk categories.

Framework Issues

  • Analysis of project’s additionality and likelihood of getting registered/ approved;
  • Sources of difficult or delay in completion of required framework process.

Performance and Benchmarking

  • Likely range of delivery of emissions reductions considering the inherent variability of the project scheme;
  • Project benchmarking, identifying the performance of similar projects;

Rating Score

Monitoring

  • If the mandating entity chooses to have the rating monitored, CRA tracks the business and economic developments that may have an impact on the rating, and may change the rating periodically if it considers such developments so warrant.
