Shandi has more than 25 years experience in the financial markets, as advisor to governments, policy makers, hedge funds and proprietary traders. He founded IDEAglobal as well as IDEAcarbon. Shandi was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by the London School of Economics in recognition of his services to the financial industry.

Ian joined IDEAcarbon following a distinguished career at the World Bank. For eight years he was the Bank's Vice President for Sustainable Development overseeing its work on climate change and carbon finance. Prior to that he played a major role in negotiating the establishment of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and managed its day-to-day operations for six years. Ian is presently an advisor to Globe, G8+5 and to the UNFCCC.
Joint CEO IDEAcarbon Markets/EVP IDEAcarbon group
Krishna Biltoo, a highly experienced senior executive in the financial information sector, will join IDEAcarbon from May 2010 as CEO of IDEAcarbon Markets and Executive Vice-President of IDEAcarbon group. His expertise covers credit market analysis and risk management, as well as the management of large-scale and innovative information projects. Mr. Biltoo’s most recent position was Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Solutions at S&P where he oversaw a fourfold growth of the business between 2003 and 2010 in the EMEA region. Prior to this, his roles included Head of Information Services with CreditTrade and as well as leading global groups serving FX, Money and Credit markets at Reuters. He was also previously a non-executive Director of The RiskMetrics Group.
Partner (Operations & Business Development)
Edwin, a leading industry figure and expert on voluntary carbon standards, joined as Partner (operations and business development) for IDEACarbon and its sister company, the Carbon Rating Agency in September 2009. Prior to his appointment at IDEACarbon, Edwin was a Director of IETA (since 2004) with responsibilities covering all of IETAs activities related to the Flexible Mechanisms and Voluntary Market as well as the management of the Geneva office. Between November 2007 and October 2008, he acted as the CEO of the Voluntary Carbon Standard Association (VCSA) before taking on an advisory role. Mr Aalders has over 10 years of experience as an assessor in environmental auditing and climate change programmes whilst working for SGS between 1992 and 2004, before he joined IETA.

Dinesh has extensive experience in the finance, NGO and private sectors and over 15 years experience in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change. He has managed a portfolio of over 125 CDM projects in Asia, the Asia Carbon Asset Development Facility and the global carbon trading activities of the Asia Carbon Exchange. Dinesh has also worked with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in India in the fields of renewable energy and climate change and was one of the core team members of the World Bank's National Strategy Study on CDM implementation in India.
Director, IDEAcarbon Strategic and IDEAcarbon Markets
Alessandro joined IDEAcarbon in May 2008 from Platts, a division of the McGraw-Hill Companies. At Platts he launched and edited Platts Emissions Daily, a newsletter covering the global carbon market, in 2005. Alessandro has over 20 years experience in commodities, writing about and analyzing oil, gas, emissions and petrochemicals markets. He has also worked as an oil products derivatives broker with PVM Associates. Alessandro holds a bachelor's degree in politics and French from the University of Reading (UK), and also studied at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris.
