Overview

IDEAcarbon was founded in 2007 by Shandi Modi and Ian Johnson with the aim of providing the level of analysis needed for the carbon market to mature into a major asset class.  IDEAcarbon is a part of the IDEAglobal Group of companies. Our sister company IDEAglobal has been providing independent analysis of a range of financial markets since 1989.

IDEAcarbon also owns the Carbon Rating Agency, which was launched in 2008, creating a global standard for carbon risk. A review of our work connecting the climate policy debate with the views of the market participants can be found here.

IDEAcarbon is a privately held company, incorporated in the Isle of Man with offices in Singapore and the UK. IDEAcarbon's USA office is scheduled to open in New York in Q4 2009.
